Focuses on the relationship between the physical, emotional and spiritual body. Encourages women to drop all delusions of a negative body image. Invites women to feel physically liberated with naturally flowing movements. Andrea Pierkowski will be teaching musical theater, ballet/jazz and beginner/intermediate adult tap and advanced adult tap. Voice class will be scheduled on request. Andrea has taught in our summer workshops for the past few years. Andrea has taught all forms of dance for 32 years at Parkview High School, UALR & private studios. Her students are professional performers entertaining folks all over the world. She was a professional singer/dancer for 20 years and has worked / volunteered in the local theatre community for 15 years.

Artchurch will offer Teen Acting classes with instructor Barbara Morgan. During the past two decades, she has earned a Masters of Fine Arts in Theatre (Acting and Directing), acted in 50 plays, and has directed a dozen productions. She enjoys teaching and acting and is looking forward to working with the budding young actors of Hot Springs.

Upcoming Exhibitions

September- Katherine Strause

We will be exhibiting the works of Katherine Strause. Katherine exhibits nationally and is currently Department Chair and Assistant Professor of Art at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. She holds a Master of Fine Arts from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. Her paintings are based on found photographs that she then alters and re-organizing to create her subject matter.

October- Masks

In in the spirit of Halloween, we’ll be exhibiting tribal masks.

November – Art-Cycle

An art exhibit in reclaimed and recycled art.

December – Toys, Toys & More Toys!

We’re already preparing for this exhibit months in advance. This is a call for artists to make any kind of art related to toys, whether it be photos of toys, paintings of toys, or actually toys! If you have any work you would like to submit, send three images to artchurchorg@gmail.com.
