Teachers please send questions and info. to e-mail: artchurchorg@gmail.com

Criteria for K-12 entry in the show:

Limit to two entries per grade, per school. (We suggest the school have a panel to select their entries- this may encourage schools to have a mini exhibition of their own with the winners being sent to this one.)

An entry should consist of no more than two comic book pages.

Content should be appropriate for, and of interest to, a general audience

The emphasis should be equally placed on story and illustration. A page must contain multiple panels, a sequential narrative, rather than a single event. (Remember the art should expand or explain the story in an intriguing way to capture the viewer visually as the narrative captures him/her literally)

Artists should place more emphasis on narrative (story) than on just empty or excessive action.

The page (or two pages in combination) should operate as a self-contained unit of meaning. The page does not have to tell a complete story, but it should present a discrete portion (scene or sequence) of a story.
