We are needing a few things for our children’s summer programs:) please

the following items are needed to make these programs happen. We know that monies are tight but we all have stuff.
The Artchurch Studio will offer six summer camps designed for children ages 7 to 15. Each camp is limited to 24 children; they are divided into classes of 6 to 8 per group by age. Experienced master teachers provide quality and inspiring instruction. Each camp focuses on a different art theme, time period, and artist. Activities include music, dance, theater, and visual arts in the time period of the artist; extra activities include the art community garden project and adapted children’s yoga. The Artchurch is a non-profit, so support from the community is essential. Your support is greatly appreciated. The following list has the items on our DREAM list.

The land in downtown Hot Springs is located around the preserved 1890’s ARTchurch structure, with the backdrop of Hot Springs National Park. A parcel land abutting Hot Springs Creek has been donated to create a Children’s Garden and raised beds have been constructed to accommodate children of all ages. Our goal is to continue the participation of this project with area children throughout the school year. The ARTchurch Studio is devoted to planting seeds of creative growth.

“Matisse in Motion”
Children’s Yoga and Movement

12 Exercises mats
Pilates balls various sizes
Spray bottles
Bright colored hand towels
Bright color silk scarves (fabric aprox. 12” wide by 36” long)

The Matisse in Motion is a yoga based movement program to teach young children how to stretch and move in a fun and safe manner. The use of fabric, balls, and mats help the children extend beyond their bodies to imagine shape and line. This program begins summer of 2009 and will continue through the school year 09-10. Our goal is to reach area children of all economic, skill, and creative levels, to give them the opportunity to explore creativity in motion. Your support of this program is greatly appreciated.
